Terms of Service
Plain-English summary: You buy a license, you own it. Pro is one-time and non-refundable. Cloud is monthly and cancellable anytime. Only your first Cloud subscription charge is refundable within 14 days of the initial subscription date, no questions asked. Renewal charges are non-refundable.
Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of PromptCraft ("Software"), a macOS application published by Oguzhan Atalay ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using PromptCraft, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
These Terms constitute a legally binding End User License Agreement (EULA) between you and us. "You" means the individual who purchased the license or, if purchasing on behalf of an organization, that organization.
License grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of the applicable license fee, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use PromptCraft on the number of macOS devices permitted by your license tier, solely for your personal or internal business purposes.
This license is a right to use the Software — you are not purchasing ownership of the Software, its source code, or any associated intellectual property. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Feature availability may change between major version releases. We will provide at least 60 days notice before removing a Pro feature that was available at the time of purchase.
Permitted use
You may use PromptCraft for any lawful purpose, including:
- Personal use on Macs you own, lease, or control
- Commercial use in your business or organization, subject to the per-machine limits of your license tier
- Using PromptCraft to optimize prompts sent to any AI provider, including providers not natively supported, by pasting the output manually
- Building internal workflows and automations that invoke PromptCraft through its AppleScript or URL scheme interface, if and when such interfaces are made available
Prohibited conduct
You may not:
You may not distribute, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend PromptCraft or your license key to any third party. Each license key is for one named individual or organization.
You may not reverse-engineer, disassemble, decompile, decode, or otherwise attempt to derive or gain access to the source code of PromptCraft or any component of it, except to the limited extent permitted by applicable law.
You may not attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent the license activation system, machine limits, or any other technical protection measures in the Software.
You may not use PromptCraft to optimize prompts intended to generate illegal content, facilitate harm to any person or organization, violate applicable laws, or circumvent AI safety systems of any provider.
You may not use PromptCraft to violate the acceptable use policies or terms of service of any AI provider integrated with or accessible through the Software.
You may not use the Cloud proxy to send automated bulk requests, scrape AI responses at scale, attempt to extract or reconstruct model weights, or otherwise abuse the service in a way that degrades performance for other subscribers.
You may not remove copyright notices, claim authorship of the Software, or create a product that misrepresents itself as PromptCraft.
Activation and machine limits
Your license key activates PromptCraft on a per-machine basis. Activation is verified against our license server, which records a non-reversible hash of the machine identifier — not the identifier itself.
Machine limits: Pro licenses may be active on 1 machine at a time. Cloud licenses may be active on up to 2 machines simultaneously.
Transferring to a new Mac: Deactivate on the old machine via Settings → License → Deactivate, then activate on the new machine. If you cannot access the old machine (loss, failure, theft), email hello@promptcraft.app with your order ID. We will reset your activation count within 24 hours after verifying your identity.
Loss of activation rights: If you exceed the machine limit through methods other than normal transfer (e.g., key sharing), we reserve the right to revoke the key without refund after providing written notice.
Cloud service
The PromptCraft Cloud service (available to Cloud tier subscribers) provides API-key-free routing of prompts to third-party AI providers via our Cloudflare Workers proxy. The following terms apply:
- Cloud service availability is on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime or service continuity. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may occur.
- We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime excluding scheduled maintenance. If we fail this target in any month, you may request a pro-rated credit for the downtime period by emailing us within 30 days of the affected month.
- AI provider availability (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, Moonshot) is outside our control. Outages at a provider level do not entitle you to a Cloud subscription refund, but we will provide alternative routing where possible.
- Rate limits apply per license key. Limits are designed to be generous for individual users and will be communicated in the app if reached.
- We reserve the right to add, remove, or change AI providers available through the proxy. We will provide at least 14 days notice before removing a provider.
Refund policy
Eligible charge: only the first PromptCraft Cloud subscription charge on a new subscription.
Window: 14 calendar days from the initial subscription timestamp.
Condition: no reason required. If requested inside the window, it is approved.
Renewal charges are non-refundable.
One-time Pro license purchases are non-refundable.
Upgrades, add-ons, taxes, currency conversion differences, and payment processor fees are non-refundable except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
- How to request: email hello@promptcraft.app with your order ID and purchase email.
- Verification: we verify charge identity and first-subscription status only. No questionnaire is required.
- Processing target: refund decision within 2 business days. Payment return speed depends on card network and bank.
- Funding source: refunds are issued only to the original payment method used for the charge.
- Subscription status: approved refund immediately terminates Cloud subscription access and future billing for that subscription.
- Abuse safeguard: repeated refund cycling on new subscriptions may result in refusal of future subscriptions.
Where consumer protection laws require broader rights, those mandatory rights apply in addition to this policy.
Chargebacks and billing disputes
You agree to contact hello@promptcraft.app before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute. We provide a direct remedy path for duplicate charges, unauthorized use, and eligible refunds under these Terms.
If a chargeback is filed for a transaction that was valid under these Terms, we may immediately suspend associated license keys, Cloud access, and future purchases until the dispute is resolved. You remain responsible for all fees, reversals, and administrative costs imposed by the payment processor for invalid chargebacks.
For business customers, repeated unjustified chargebacks constitute material breach and may result in permanent account level blocking, denial of future service, and legal recovery of losses where allowed by law.
Updates and support
Pro license updates: All 1.x patch and minor updates (e.g., 1.1.0, 1.2.3) are included at no additional cost. Major version upgrades (e.g., 2.0.0) may require a separate purchase, which we will offer to existing Pro customers at a discounted upgrade price.
Cloud license updates: Cloud subscribers receive all updates, including any major version upgrades, for as long as their subscription is active.
Support: We provide email-based support at hello@promptcraft.app. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Support is provided in English. We do not offer phone or live chat support.
End of life: We will provide at least 6 months notice before discontinuing PromptCraft entirely. In the event of discontinuation, Pro license holders will be offered a full refund of their original purchase price regardless of when the license was purchased.
Intellectual property
PromptCraft and all of its components, including the pipeline architecture, processing algorithms, UI design, documentation, and marketing materials, are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of Oguzhan Atalay.
Your license does not include any rights to the source code, design files, or underlying algorithms. You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without prior written permission, except to truthfully describe your use of the Software.
Feedback you provide about the Software (bug reports, feature suggestions, improvement ideas) may be used by us to improve the Software without any obligation to compensate you or attribute the feedback to you.
Disclaimer of warranties
PromptCraft is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that: (a) the Software will meet your specific requirements; (b) the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (c) any errors in the Software will be corrected; (d) AI model outputs routed through the Software will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular use.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. If you are in such a jurisdiction, some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or computer damage, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $99 USD, whichever is greater.
This limitation of liability is a fundamental element of the basis of the bargain between us. The Software would not be provided to you without this limitation.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Oguzhan Atalay, PromptCraft, and our contractors, service providers, and affiliates from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of the Software; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law, regulation, or third party right; (d) content, prompts, or outputs you create, distribute, or rely on in your business.
We reserve the right, at our own cost, to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification. If we do so, you will cooperate fully and provide all information reasonably requested for defense and settlement.
Dispute resolution
Before filing any formal claim, both parties agree to attempt good faith resolution by written notice and a 30-day cure period. Notices must include: account email, order identifier, factual basis of the dispute, and requested remedy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, any dispute not resolved in the cure period will be brought exclusively in the competent courts of Lisbon, Portugal. You waive any objection based on inconvenient forum, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
You agree disputes will be brought only on an individual basis. Class actions, consolidated proceedings, representative actions, and private attorney general style claims are not permitted unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section limits our right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in any jurisdiction to protect intellectual property, license enforcement systems, or confidential business information.
Termination
Your license to use PromptCraft terminates automatically if you breach any of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and delete all copies in your possession.
We may terminate or suspend your Cloud subscription immediately and without notice if: (a) you breach these Terms and fail to cure the breach within 7 days of written notice; (b) you use the Software or Cloud proxy for illegal purposes; (c) you attempt to circumvent license enforcement.
Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund. Termination that we initiate without cause entitles you to a pro-rated refund of any prepaid Cloud subscription fees.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Software shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may apply to supplement or override these Terms to the extent required by law.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your purchase at least 14 days before the change takes effect. For minor or clarifying changes, we may update the Terms without individual notice but will update the "Last updated" date above.
Your continued use of PromptCraft after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may cancel your Cloud subscription before the next renewal date.
